Land Rover Freelander 2 2008

The all-new Land Rover Freelander 2 picks up on the bold form of Discovery 3, Range rover Sport and the elegance of the Range Rover. From the distinctive bonnet to the stepped roof, it’s clear this is a premium vehicle with looks that are more than skin deep.

HEADLAMPS

The wrap-around headlamps of Land Rover Freelander 2 are handsome and rugged, and offer a choice of different technologies. Halogen headlamps have impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses. They come with a watertight seal and a Gore-Tex™ membrane that allows ventilation without letting in water, to help avoid condensation when wading. Bi-Xenon projector lamps are also available, providing a crisp blue-white light that is significantly brighter than Halogen, while consuming only half the electrical power.

SPACE

Whichever direction you choose, everyone can stretch out and enjoy the view. ‘Stadium seating’ places the rear seat passengers slightly higher than their front seat counterparts.

PREMIUM COMFORT

Once inside, you’ll notice an interior with excellent craftsmanship. Upholstery and tufted carpets use high quality materials. Blonde or Dark Eucalyptus wood-effect finishes and a Pixel metallic-effect finish add further premium touches.

PREMIUM LOADSPACE

Wherever you decide to go, you won’t have to worry. The all-new Freelander has all the room you need.

As well as the versatile rear loadspace – which can be made even bigger by folding the asymmetrical split-rear seats to provide flat load floor – there is stowage spae galore. It includes a capacious glove-box and generous front and rear door bins with 1-litre bottle storage holders, plus two additional cup holders in the central console.

INTELLIGENT 4X4

An innovative full-time intelligent 4x4 ssytem is fundamental to delivering the all-new Freelander 2’s class-leading breadth of capability.

The electronic centre coupling continuously varies the drive front and rear, to suit conditions whilst giving better on-road fuel economy.

Using one of four different settings, Land Rover’s unique Terrain Response™ optimizes driveability and comfort. It also maximizes traction through the car’s electronic management systems and traction aids.

ALL-WEATHER

40°C to +50°C
40°F to 122°F

Whichever way you look at it, the all-new Land Rover Freelander 2 is engineered to perform in the most extreme weather conditions. Whether it’s the frozen Alaskan tundra, the searing heat of the Dubai desert of up to 95% relative humidity, it’s all the same to this definitive all-weather vehicle.
