Ford Escape 2007

ESCAPE IN STYLE

Whether it's to and from work or a long weekend away, relaxation begins the moment you turn the key. The new Ford Escape enables you to be as adventurous as you want to be. It drives like a city sedan but has the capable 4WD credentials of a genuine Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), so the only limit to your destination is your imagination, not the terrain. Everything has been designed to make your escape as easy and as luxurious as possible. And no matter where you drive your Escape, you'll arrive more relaxed than when you started.

The great indoors
A vehicle this comfortable may lead you to think of the Escape as something like your lounge room with engine and wheels. You won't mind long drives because you'll have so much fun. The high ride height offers excellent visibility and the sleek new floor mounted T-bar automatic gearshift reinforces the easy car-like driving. Everything is laid for our driver - plush seats, easy-reach buttons and a new center console with cold blue illumination. Passengers receive all the luxurious benefits as well. Comfortable armchair-like seating, one touch climate control and a 6-CD player will have them immediately at ease. And with seats that fold flat and roof-racks standard, you'll be able to handle just about any cargo for that action-packed weekend.

You take the high road
For off-roading, you need access to as much power and torque as possible. The Escape's 2.3L 4-cylinder engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and Electronic Throttle Control (ECT) provides excellent responsiveness, smooth power delivery and improved fuel efficiency. The Escape is lifted with Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) which assist in maintaining full wheel contact, giving better stability and grip. IRS allows each rear wheel to react individually to dips and bumps. Up front, the smooth handling continues with McPherson strut independent suspension for optimum road contact and control. All combined, you have the power and handling to escape anywhere in comfort.
