Hyundai Santa Fe 2008

Front styling
The frontal treatment epitomises the character of the car, which combines an assertive look with a graceful air. The twin character lines on the bonnet sweep down to the large grille, which features Hyundai’s familiar twin horizontal bars and its reassuring logo. The body-coloured bumpers are complemented by wide headlight clusters, separate low-mounted fog lights and a skid plate that reaches up to the grille.

Wiper de-icer
Hyundai engineers have thought of everything. You’ll be glad you specified the wiper de-icing system on the windscreen when your Santa Fe is covered in frost and snow on a winter morning.

Door handle
Chrome-plating on each of the side door handles serves to emphasise the upscale nature of the Santa Fe.

Door scuff
The bright metal scuff plate at the bottom of each door frame is another reminder of Santa Fe’s high style.

Cup holders
Positioned exactly where the driver and front passenger most need them, these convenience features reflect Hyundai attention to every quality detail.

Centre console
The console between the front seats has dual functions as a storage tray and an arm rest.

Cool box
A cool box is located in the lower part of the central front console. It’s great boon for picnic snacks and drinks.

Sunvisor
The sun visor is equipped with an illuminated vanity mirror and a sliding extension that helps to eliminate glare.

Door pocket
The pocket built into each front door trim is big enough to accommodate plenty of maps, books and other documents.

Dashboard tray
In the centre of the upper part of the dashboard, there’s a lidded tray that can hold a variety of oddments.

Keyless entry
The fob for the ignition key is an electronic sender that can open and lock the doors from a distance.

Audio controls
Supplementary finger tip controls for the audio system are on the steering wheel centre section. They are an attractive safety option.

Conversation mirror
The drop-down ‘conversation mirror’ is useful in a vehicle as big as the Santa Fe. The convex image captures all occupants.

Overhead console
The roof-mounted overhead console comprises interior lights and a drop-down cubby hole that can be used to store a pair of sun glasses.

Rear ventilation
Passengers in the rear are not forgotten when it comes to heating and ventilation. They have their own air outlets.

Air conditioning
The dual zone air conditioning system is fully automated and maintains constant temperatures and directional flows, including to those seated in the rear.

Boot bins
Deep binnacles with lids are built into the sides of the boot area. They’re handy to stop loose items rolling about the luggage area.

Interior lighting
With three rows of seats, it’s important the passengers in the back have access to overhead illumination when they need it.

Mirror with compass
The electro chromatic interior mirror automatically dims to reduce driver effort and eye strain. It also features a digital compass for improved directional recognition.

Power outlets
For added convenience, three 12V power outlets are standard on Santa Fe models.

Cargo net
A retaining net for the floor is practically an essential in a vehicle with a cargo area as large as Santa Fe’s.

Extra storage
The cargo area below the hinged rear floor has a preformed tray that provides secure space for other motoring necessities. The section is even bigger in the fiveseater version.

Luggage screen
A flexible screen between the rearmost seats and the hatchback door hides everything in the boot from prying eyes.

Second console
The second row of seats has a central arm rest that doubles as a pair of cup holders.

Twin exhausts
The Santa Fe’s dual exhaust pipes are there not just to enhance the look of the rear end – which they do. Their real purpose is to cope with the extra output of each of the engine options and to reduce the noise levels emanating from the exhausts.

Outside mirror
Each of the two outside door mirrors is electrically powered. They also have complete folding facilities for when space is tight.

Wide View Mirror
The drivers’ outside mirror give a wide-angle field of vision, helping eliminate overtaking blind spots.

Foldable aerial
The micro radio aerial built into the rear of the roof section has a mechanism that allows it to be folded flat.

Roof rack
The smart, integrated roof rack bars, complete with a moveable cross member, are attractive as well as practical.

Rear wiper
Improved rear visibility – and therefore greater safety – is provided by the rear wiper/washer system, which is standard fitment on all models.

Rear spoiler
The roof spoiler at the rear features a built-in highmounted stop light warning for additional safety.

Rear lamp
Each of the light clusters at the rear has a one-piece appearance that extends into the hatchback door at the back.

Hatchback handle
The handle that opens the rear hatchback door has a chrome insert that echoes the finishes of the side doors.

17 inch alloy wheel
The standard 235/65 R17 aluminium alloy wheels have a angled and tapered five-spoke design to give a lighter and sportier look.

18 inch alloy wheel
The Santa Fe’s largest wheel option is the 235/60 R18, an 18 inch unit that features a six-spoke design. The simple, confident look adds to the overall appearance of safety.
