Audi TT 2008

Successfully evolving something that is already unique is the challenge facing designers and engineers. Only by pursuing this goal is it possible to achieve perfection. Only by pursuing this goal have we created this sports car. The Audi TT Coupé. Harmonious in every respect. Fascinating from every perspective.

Headlights
Xenon plus headlights – with the option of adaptive light cornering lights – improve visibility when turning at a junction and in adverse weather and light conditions.

Rear spoiler
The rear spoiler extends automatically at 120 km/h and retracts automatically again at 80 km/h. It can also be activated manually by the driver.

Aluminium wheels
Alloy wheels enhance both the car’s sporty appearance and the way it handles. They are available in numerous designs and sizes.

Rear lights
Rear lights of clear-glass appearance provide exceptional visual depth and are one of the Audi TT Coupé’s striking features. The lights styling package enhances their striking look still further.

Design details
Unique styling: one striking detail is the aluminium tank cap with tastefully embossed TT logo.

Tailpipe design
The Audi TT Coupé’s tailpipe design reflects its sporty character – and is also one of the external indications of the chosen engine version.

BMW M3 Convertible 2008

Well defined.
The exterior of the BMW M3 Convertible.
On a vehicle like this, a powerful display of strength is everything. The sculpted front of the BMW M3 Convertible makes no secret of the tremendous power that lies in wait beneath the bonnet. While classic M styling, such as the M gills and chrome-plated steel twin exhaust pipes, helps underline its dynamic presence and elegance. Only the interplay of these measures ensures the desired effect: sports car performance that is ideally suited to everyday driving.

Feel good factor.
The interior of the BMW M3 Convertible.
The light reflects off the fine-wood interior trim with sycamore mirror-matched grain anthracite and the M steering wheel with red-blue decorative stitching. The optional trademark dual M circular dials, the M design iDrive Controller, the ergonomically optimised M seat with memory function patiently await the arrival of the driver. All these features in the BMW M3 Convertible combine to create an ambience that is designed to make drivers feel good - and inspired to take control under the open skies.

Putting the dynamics into aerodynamics.
Aerodynamics in the BMW M3 Convertible.
Thanks to intelligent aerodynamics, the BMW M3 Convertible not only slices effortlessly through the air, but also channels it to where it's needed most. The intake hole next to the powerdome feeds air directly to the V8 high-rev engine. The side vents in the front apron help to cool the engine and transmission oil. And the aerodynamic wing mirrors and rear diffuser both contribute to the car's exhilarating dynamics.

Ready. Set. Go.
The retractable hardtop on the BMW M3 Convertible.
Enjoy the freedom of open-top driving in an instant. The retractable hardtop disappears in just 22 seconds, leaving you free to feel the sun on your skin along each sporting curve and open straight. Even a cloudy sky can't spoil your driving pleasure. The roof simply closes again as swiftly as it opened, quickly emphasising the vehicle's unmistakably athletic aura. After all, the BMW M3 Convertible just demands to be set in motion - whatever the weather.

Ready to perform.
The V8 high-rev engine in the BMW M3 Convertible.
Power all the way to the redline - the BMW M3 Convertible's V8 high-rev engine has genuine race-car character. Every component has been carefully optimised to maximise output and engine speed. The result? 420 bhp, up to 8,400 rpm, and 400 Nm of torque at 3,900 rpm. And that's not all: the individual throttle butterflies and engine management system ensure the engine responds rapidly to driver inputs, translating every touch of the right pedal into instant acceleration.

A need for change.
The six-speed transmission in the BMW M3 Convertible.
Ultrafast, ultraprecise shifts are offered every time by the six-speed manual transmission in the BMW M3 Convertible. Engine power is transmitted optimally throughout the rev range, resulting in smooth acceleration on demand. Even downshifts are a pleasure - especially when followed by a bend.

The rules of the race.
The M double-clutch transmission (DCT) Drivelogic in the BMW M3 Convertible.
Taking your breath away but not your speed, the M double-clutch transmission (DCT) with Drivelogic transfers engine power to the road without the slightest disruption to tractive force. With two transmission structures the system is able to switch simply between the two, thus providing constant power to the rear wheels. Gears can be changed without the transmission of power being interrupted using either the paddles, shift lever or automatic mode for even more dynamic comfort. 0 to 100 km/h takes just 5.1 seconds, two tenths of a second faster than the manual transmission.

Two is better than one.
More about the M DCT Drivelogic in the BMW M3 Convertible.
M DCT Drivelogic uses two transmission structures. Second, fourth and sixth gears are assigned to one structure, and first, third, fifth and seventh to the other. When you switch up or down, the system simply switches between the two. So while one gear is being disengaged, the next is already in position. By overlapping the clutch and declutch, the transmission of power remains uninterrupted. Six manual and five automatic programs allow you to access the whole spectrum of gear behaviour, from dynamic and pure to harmonious and comfortable.
